World No. 1 Novak Djokovic spent some time with kids at the Kids Village in Rome and there cameras caught him sharing an advice to a young Italian tennis player. Djokovic, who is one of the most accomplished players in tennis history, told the young Italian player to never forget why he started and to always try to enjoy himself on the court.
“The first thing is important to remember is why you start playing tennis, love the passion, the joy of having the racket in your hand because this is a game that you love and you love to be on the court and after you have to work a little bit no,” Djokovic said.

Djokovic practiced with a promising Italian tennis player
Matteo Arnaldi, who is enjoying a career-high ranking of No.
275 in the world, had a chance to practice with Djokovic this week in Rome. Arnaldi was absolutely thrilled about the experience of practicing with Djokovic. “It was fantastic,” Arnaldi said. “Novak has always been my idol and that’s why I entered the court a bit tense.
It was an incredible feeling to be able to hit with the No. 1 in the world. My coach took care of planning the session. He exchanged a few words with his trainer, (Italian Mario Panichi) and it turned out that he needed someone to warm up with.
Needless to say, I jumped right in! “Technically I found him extremely clean compared to the others I have played with up to now. His ball is very flat and you have a hard time playing with it, even on clay. It takes away your time, you can’t do anything you have in mind.”
Also, Arnaldi said Djokovic showed him that true champions are very simple and humble. Arnaldi made his Rome debut this week but didn’t have much success as he was beaten by Marin Cilic in the first round.
