It was earlier expected that because of the larger battery pack, the boot space of the Nexon EV Max will decrease but that has not happened. It still measures 350 litres. What Tata Motors has done is increased the size of the existing battery pack. Due to this, the ground clearance of the Nexon EV Max is 10 mm lower than the Nexon EV. It is 195 mm as compared to 205 mm.

Moreover, the larger battery pack has also increased the weight of the Nexon EV Max by 100 kgs. 70 kgs increase is because of the battery pack whereas the 30 kgs increase is because of the new features and equipment. So, Tata Motors had to retune the suspension to handle the additional weight. To add to the stopping power, there are rear disc brakes too.
