God of War: Ragnarok could finally receive a release date next week, as an industry insider has hinted at June 30th for some new announcements.

Currently, God of War: Ragnarok is set to release sometime in 2022, but an exact release date is still yet to be confirmed by Santa Monica Studios. With the likes of Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, The Callisto Protocol, and more all set to release by the end of this year, Ragnarok is going to have some tough competition.

But, as one of the most anticipated releases of this year, fans are eager to find out exactly when they can get their hands on some more Kratos and Atreus action.

God of War: Ragnarok Announcements Could Be Coming On June 30th

According to ‘The Snitch‘, who is a reliable industry insider, we may be receiving a new God of War: Ragnarok announcement next week, on Thursday, June 30th. Although The Snitch doesn’t outright say this, a gif of Kratos with the numbers ‘11110’ was posted by the leaker. Fans then translated this into a decimal value of ’30’, with many speculating a date of June 30th for further announcements.

This was then re-posted by fellow industry insider Tom Henderson, who says “it looks like we have our date for some God of War announcements. June 30th”.

Recent rumours suggested that God of War: Ragnarok had been delayed internally to 2023, but journalist Jason Schreier reported that the title was actually set for November 2022. Schreier did report that the development of Ragnarok was “turbulent” and that the game could “very well slip again”.

It’s unclear whether or not PlayStation will host a dedicated State of Play for Ragnarok on June 30th, should the rumour be true. However, we recommend taking this information with a pinch of salt, as plans can always change behind the scenes.
