The highly anticipated first-person shooter, Post Void, has finally been given a release date for consoles. Publisher Super Rare Originals has announced via Twitter that their latest project will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on September 29th.
Post Void was previously delayed due to the developer team reportedly requiring more time to polish the game in order to deliver the best possible experience at its launch. YCYJ Games seems to have been quick enough to make the final polishes and improvements to bring Post Void to its planned platforms sooner than expected. Unfortunately, the publisher has not specified why the fast-paced action thriller won’t release for Xbox consoles at the time of writing, but PlayStation users can now add Post Void to their wishlist via the PS Store.
“Get ready to enter the void…We took some extra time to make POST VOID perfect – it’ll now be releasing on September 29th for PlayStation and the Nintendo Switch! Put your finger on the trigger… this retro-style, psychedelic FPS from YCYJ Games is approaching soon.” publisher Super Rare Originals said in a new statement.
Post Void was originally released for PC via Steam back in 2020, quickly receiving various accolades thanks to its dynamic gameplay supported by a unique pixel art style. Post Void’s review scores on Steam are currently overwhelmingly positive, with over 6,000 reviews from players.
The hit FPS game requires players to keep up with its fast-paced combat, which requires constant focus from start to finish. In other words, if players slow down or hesitate to kill, it’s game over. Players must enhance their kill score to maintain their health, compelling them to continue their run non-stop. It is also worth noting that Post Void will include DualSense controller support, making the player’s action experience even more chaotic and immersive.
Developed by YCYJ Games, Post Void is an action roguelike game emphasizing a 1990’s retro theme with a colorful world design. It is a game that players can enjoy with action-fuelled combat for several hours. Post Void will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on September 29th, and is also available on Steam.
