Ashley Park is currently in Paris, gearing up to resume filming for Season 4 of ‘Emily in Paris’ after overcoming a significant health scare that led to her hospitalization in December.

The star of the popular Netflix show shared on her Instagram this Sunday that she is in the “City of Lights,” focusing on “recovery and rest” while awaiting medical clearance to commence shooting. Earlier this month, Park had been hospitalized due to a serious case of “critical septic shock.”

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans, Park acknowledged the touching messages and personal stories shared by well-wishers. She confirmed being “medically cleared to fly after responding to treatments” and thanked her colleagues for their “kindness and gracious patience” during her recovery.

In her Instagram post, Park assured fans that she is diligently taking care of herself to regain optimal health, expressing eagerness to join her colleagues on set for the upcoming season. Despite the challenging circumstances, she affirmed her commitment to the show and reassured fans, stating, “I promise I’m breathing through this all and taking as much care of myself as I can to get back into fighting shape.”

Earlier this month, Park had disclosed on Instagram that what initially seemed like tonsillitis had escalated into a critical septic shock, affecting multiple organs. Septic shock is the most severe stage of sepsis, a condition where the body’s response to infection can lead to organ failure. Prompt treatment is crucial, as sepsis and septic shock can be life-threatening.

Park, known for portraying the spirited and fashion-forward character Mindy alongside Lily Collins in “Emily in Paris,” is now looking forward to returning to the set for the show’s fourth season. The series premiered in 2020 and has gained widespread popularity for its charming storyline and glamorous portrayal of life in the French capital.
