‘Get Us Our Paycheck’: Meet Federal Employees Struggling Without Pay | NYT News It’S very hard it’s hard to go in there and do my job a hundred per-cent like I’m supposed to knowing that I’m not going to get paid having to go back to work going to be annexed. It’S going to require, you know getting gas for my car to go to. I can’t afford that right now. No, we! We were working overtime before all this to be able to meet the taxpayer and my employees. Many of them are struggling to have money for fuel to come to work 2018. So you don’t make my first payment. You didn’t ask for any of this, wanted to go to work and do our job. butt out here in the Middle America out here in Mississippi. So this really is having an impact on everyone’s life, just not on these 800,000 federal employees. Yes back to work, yet it’s our paycheck and can us continue your issues? You know it shouldn’t affect the smaller people in this An estimated 800,000 federal employees haven’t been paid since the government shutdown began. Those working for the I.R.S. and other agencies are being ordered to return to work during the shutdown. We spoke with some of them.
