President Donald Trump Has A New ‘Ex’ As Bolton Extends Ignominious Record | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC
You might remember, after Mike Flynn had to leave the White House had to resign or be fired as Trump’s. First National Security advisor soon to be forthcoming, felony charges, the president picks a new guy advisor following up Flint next choice for National Security advisor. It is almost forgotten now because there’s been so many of these guys actually turned down Trump’s request to serve in that capacity. It was very embarrassing for the Trump Administration after that embarrassment without real Harward President Trump turn to his third choice: General HR McMaster, who did take the job he lasted in that job for about a year that he was serving as National Security advisor. The president was happy to openly complain about McMaster and let it be known that he hated being in his company to the point where he would no longer allow HR McMaster. National Security is the president’s National Security advisor that history between Master four months before firing him and after NBC news reporting today that recently President Trump has been calling HR, McMaster again saying how much he misses him. That’S not me making fun! That’S the reporting, according to two people, familiar with the conversations in phone calls to McMaster Trump told his second National Security advisor that he missed him. The reason we would seem to be learning this now seemed to be reported now is because, however, Trump feels about any of his past National Security advisors, regardless of how much he misses and loves his exes. As of today, he’s got a new X, he’s fired another one, and this relationship ended his raggedly and chaotically is all the rest of them. National Security advisor John Bolton reportedly sharing a principals meeting at the White House as recently as this morning, 10:56 a.m. today announcing that John will be briefing the p.m. the president tweeted that John Bolton had been fired last night, which makes no sense write. The White House was still having Bolton chair meetings at the White House and they were still announcing his forthcoming briefings to the Press, and you know at this point that isn’t even like the story here. We just assumed at this point that anything, the President says even about his own behavior has to be rounded up to the nearest fact, so nobody much mines that he has clearly told a false story today about the firing of John Bolton, something that plainly cannot be True and just let that go, as I said, she was President Obama’s un Ambassador and his second term, one of the things that I think is worth remembering about John Bolton today as he is fired as Trump’s third National Security advisor, is that before the Trump Administration Was ever born, John Bolton was already most polarizing controversial and alienating federal government hires ever when the George W Bush Administration sought to install him as UNM masseter, despite Bolton’s record of saying things like this about the United Nations. The point that I want to leave with you in this very brief presentation is where I start is: there is no United Nations. There is an International Community that occasionally candy LED are the only real power left in the world, and that’s the United States when it suits our and Chris and when we can get others to go along. Building in New York has 38 stores. If you lost 10 stories today, the difference between United States makes the UN work when it wants to work, and that is exactly the way it should be because they is the fat in the George W Bush Administration. They looked at that and they decided diplomatic temperament. We’Re looking for that person become ambassador to the UN President Bush had to temporarily appoint John Bolton to the job during a congressional recess, because that was the only way they could get him through. So when President Trump hired John Bolton, it’s not like, he knew he was getting somebody who was going to make things worse rudely and bring people together. Neither Mr Bolton’s tenure in the Bush Administration nor his time is Trump’s. Third, National Security advisor will be remembered for any signal accomplishments, the hawkish editorial board of the Washington Post, but if I’m a newspaper as a whole, just lamb, basted Bolton today on the occasion of his firing in terms that surprised, even me, quote, Bolton was picked because Mr. Trump had enjoyed watching him on television. The result of 2 compounded characterize this administration’s foreign policy. The National Security advisor instead he’s Snipes at initiatives undertaken by others like North Korea talks and negotiations and pursued long-standing pet causes of his own, such as his pointless Crusade against the international criminal court, which fell flat. This dysfunction was, of course, enabled and even encouraged by Trump Washington Post editorial tonight, concluding with the prospect that President Trump might not even be able to find someone to say yes to this job 1/4 time. Mr. Trump’s, First National Security advisor. If he can find one and given how disastrously wrong it has gone with all of the other National Security advisor she has had, including mr. Bolden who’s out as of tonight. That’S it that’s it. Look on the break. Up with John has already shine a little love light on HR McMaster. What are you doing? Are you busy like to send me a picture from where you are Mike slim Mason be available right back on the job market. He may or may not have like any service responsibilities, which might be a little bit of that kind of a job. But you never know somewhere or it might be, you’ll have to Pardon him for felony charges for things he did when he was your National Security advisor before, but honestly would that be any weirder than the distance that we have traveled this far there’s a lot going On right now stop front page news for months on end in any other Administration. Just today, for example, current and former FEMA officials were charged with felony fraud and conjunction with the disastrous Trump Administration Disaster Response to Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico, pen, felony federal charges against FEMA officials for having ripped off the taxpayers effectively in the hurricane Maria recovery. Tomorrow, there’s going to be a hearing on the sick and dying for deportation policy, they have partially reversed in the face of public outcry, but not entirely so we expect fireworks at that hearing tomorrow. We’Re going to extensive coverage on that tomorrow. Night on this show is also going to be hearing tomorrow, a surprise and sudden hearing most controversial judicial nominees of the entire Trump presidency, and tonight there is also a bombshell Congressional race in North Carolina Steve. We got Samantha power here tonight for the interview a lot of other great videos.
